Data dashboard on top of an ERP
An internal website where each department of an industrial company looks up its ERP data, without touching the ERP.
ReactTypeScriptFastAPISQL Server
- 1,460ERP tables analysed
- 6modules, one per department
An industrial company kept its data in an ERP more than twenty years old, with no documentation, and every department depended on manual exports to see its numbers.
I analysed the structure of the ERP (about 1,460 tables) and built a read-only internal website: each department sees its indicators, tables and calendars, with individual user accounts and role-based permissions. The ERP stays as it was; the website only reads from it.
Some of the pages:
- Payroll costs: the only part that writes; new hires, payslips and a simulator for 113 people.
- Payroll journal entry: from the payroll agency’s listing to the accounting entry; the two Excel files come out identical to the ones that used to be made by hand.
- Hours per project and technician tracking: 108 projects and 5,718 records without a single difference from the ERP.
- Financial ratios and income statement: they come from the general ledger and match to the cent.
- IT incidents: reads a mailbox every five minutes and creates the tickets.
Built with React, TypeScript, FastAPI and SQL Server. In production.
