Bills of materials from CAD to the ERP
Takes the bills of materials from the drawings and from SolidWorks and writes them into the ERP, so nobody has to type them line by line.
- 95.7%of lines exact across 210 machines
- 40structures written identically
At an industrial company, the bill of materials of each machine was copied by hand from the drawing into the ERP. A simple machine is about 800 lines.
The application reads them from two places: the PDF drawings and the SolidWorks assemblies. If the drawing is scanned, it reads it with an AI model. Then it checks every line against the ERP, shows a screen with exactly what is going to be written, and writes it through the ERP’s API.
Another part of the application extracts the parts list of an assembly, with its prices, to plan purchases.
Built with Python, FastAPI and React, with sign-in through the company’s user accounts. In production since October 2026.
